Wonderful weekend in Chehalis

We had a wonderful weekend in Chehalis this weekend – our last show weekend of the NOHS – hopefully Nick and I will have done enough to finish up in the #1 Owner Handled spot for 2026

Thank you to judges Mr. Robert E Hutton, Mr. Timothy S Robbins & Mr John Mayhall for Murphy (13) and Nick (15)’s BOV wins.

Murphy went on to a Group 2 under Mr. Robert E Hutton on Friday and Nick recieved an OH Group 3 under judge Mrs Robin Hug.

Nick got a Hound Group 3 under judge Mr. Timothy S Robbins and an OH Group 1 under judge Mr John Mayhall on Saturday.

Nick got a Hound Group 1 under judge Ms. Marilyn Van Vleit on Sunday (no NOHS offered)

Sophie and Lizzy also played in BPUP for 4-6 month old puppies and on Friday and Saturday they got Baby puppy Hound group 2 and 3 respectively. <3 Good job babies.

Lucy Grey and Savannah’s puppies are thriving and growing

Lucy Grey and Savannah are now co-parenting. We marvel that their temperaments in real life have translated to how they “mommy” 🙂 Savannah is a little independent and loves things to be how she likes them. Lucy is a “happy to be here” kind of girl. Savannah loves the babies – all the babies. She wants to mother them all. Lucy loves them – but is happy for Vannah to shoulder most of the work, as she likes to check on them, feed them and head back to the couch or the yard for sniffing.

The beagle puppies are now getting more mobile and moving around the whelping box. I am getting so excited to meet them in a few short weeks.

Lucy Grey and Savannah’s beagle puppies have a fun little Snoopy photoshoot

Years ago, when breeding felt like it was forever away, Malia found this adorable little soft “Snoopy” house. She determined that she would one day take photos of her puppies in it – and she did. Enjoy these photos of “just starting to open our eyes” baby beagles. Is there anything cuter?

Malia and Brandon will be raising these precious pups in Spokane. I plan to head over there to meet them and evaluate and then a few might come over to Seattle for their forever home placements.
