Murphy & Paige’s cavalier puppies play in the yard with our beagles

The cavalier puppies enjoyed the afternoon playing with our beagles today. We love that beagles are so gentle and accommodating to these cute little wiggle worms, and I was not surprised that visitor Roads was one of their favorites to follow – I wonder if it is because they are all red and white 🙂

I am so thankful for these precious little cavaliers who are confident and nearly ready for their new adventures in their new homes. I have the most amazing families who are going to just love their little ones. I am so so thankful

Matilda went Best Puppy In Show

This weekend was Matilda (Tilly)’s final weekend of being in BPUP – this is a show for 4-6 month old puppies. I really like it as it gives them real world experience of the smells and noises of a dog show, as well as a stranger putting hands on them – we were thrilled that both days she went Hound Group 1 and she went on to Best Puppy In Show! Way to go Tilly-Monkey – next up the regular 6-9 month old classes

Tilly is out of my shared by Maxim – Kazuri’s Rocking The Naughty List at Roylcrest. She was bred by Rosalyn Rasching and is co-owned by myself (Sarah Sweetman) and Lorna & Sam Boydston.

If you want to know how she got her name, I encourage you to listen to the adorable song “Naughty” from the Matilda musical – https://youtu.be/xrJf_cx6TF4?si=Mw49fWgA4nrshRNq

Back to Back OH Best In Shows

I attended the Seattle Kennel Club this weekend with Nick, and enjoyed the brand new fancy grounds in University Way, Seattle – the sun shone and so did NIck – he won Back to back Owner Handled Best In Shows under judges Mrs. Nancy R Griego &  Ms. Emily Fish. Thank you to judges Mr Jon Titus Steele and Mrs Cindy Meyer for the OH Group 1 and breed placements.

This boy just gives it his all every time – what a guy he is! I love showing with him so very much

A wonderful weekend in Sequim

Dolly and I went to the dog shows in beautiful Sequim Washington. We showed Nick and Lyric, and Lola is Beginner Puppy.

It was a fun weekend with lots of group placements by both of our dogs. We always love it when beagles place no matter who owns them.

Lola even got a piece of the action winning the Beginner Puppy (4-6 month old) Hound Group both days that it was offered.

Paige’s & Murphy’s cavalier puppies are 11 weeks old

The final days are here – I am trying not to count them down as my heart gets sad. I spend so many wonderful hours and days and weeks with these little loves, that saying goodbye is bittersweet.

They are ready. They are sleeping on their own, eating 3 good meals a day and confident in their own skin. I know they will take on the challenge of change in their new homes well and will be so loved.

They did not want to pose again for me, but obliged for a few minutes in between playing on the stairs – it’s always fun for me to get the pictures so I can see how their heads and bodies change with the passing weeks, and inform my decision making moving forward.

Miss Ennis, who will now be called “Dolly” will stay in my breeding program with a friend of mine Kathryn as we watch her grow up. I look forward to keeping close tabs on her. Derry (now MIllie) and Dublin (now Max) will stay local with families around the PNW and will no doubt enjoy adventures around here.

Murphy & Paige’s cavalier puppies are 9 weeks old

The Irish cavalier litter are doing so well. They are now sleeping on their own at night and only cry a little bit before settling down for the night.

They went on a road trip to Sequim where they saw Opthlamologist Dr Nathan Kice, and all got their eyes cleared – it’s always nice for that to happen. Next up is heart checks with cardiologist Dr Jerry Woodfield to clear hearts before they can go to their forever homes at 12 weeks.

This time with them is so precious and we are so thankful for these sweet little babies

Enjoy the photos of them this week
