My friend Alisha took a photo of Miss Maddy at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club this weekend – love this little girl. We picked up Select bitch both days and 2 majors towards our Grand CH title.

Happy Birthday Stella
Happy Happy 1st Birthday Stella (Kazuri’s When you wish upon a star). I remember the day you were born – all 5 oz of you. You had a slow start, but you made up with it quickly being 1 pound on day 8. You were always a clown and a delight to have in the house. We are so blessed you found your forever home with Michelle & Mike, Olivia, Jericho, Gracie and Marley. xoxo
Maddy gets a Group 4
Getting Best of Breed is an honor. Once you are the best in your breed, you get to show against the best in breed in all the other breeds in your group.
For beagles, they are a hound and so go back into the ring with the best of breeds such as Afgans, Deerhounds, Bassets, Dachshunds, Whippets, Greyhounds….well you get the idea. 🙂 There are a lot of amazing dogs in the same ring.
Well today, Maddy got 4th place in Hound group – how exciting for us!! We are well on our way to our Canadian CH title.
Maddy lives the good life
I think Maddy quite likes the hotel life while showing in Canada. Ha!
Maddy starts on her Canadian CH title
We have started working on Maddison’s Canadian CH title while we wait for her to be old enough to finish her health clearances in 2016. September 26/27th we had a great time at the Mount Cheam Kennel Club meet in Chiliwack getting Best of Opposite in Beagles (thank you judge Satoshi Bessho) and group 4 in our 12-18 month class (thank you judge Maxine Moinier) on the Saturday. We took Best of Breed (thank you judge Takahiro Miyagawa) on Sunday.
Every beagle needs a CKC for a pillow
Arrow and Maddy are besties and sleep like this every day. I cant help but think Arrow must think she is a beagle after all
Beagles in Seattle
Our beagles come with us everywhere – even on the Seattle Monorail. We love that we can take our dogs anywhere and everywhere 🙂
Maddy wins Best of Breed
Madison made me proud today by going Best of Breed over a special and getting her first 2 Grand CH points at the Sammamish Kennel Club under judge Frederick Dewsbury.
Fonzie wins Best of Breed
Huge congratulations to owner/handler Sarah and Fonzie (CH Kazuri’s A MInd of His Own) as they pulled a Best of Breed win at the Olympic Kennel Club dog show on August 18th. They went on to grab a Group 3 win in the #ownerhandler group. So proud of the achievements they have made together!
Welcoming Arrow to our family
Our daughter B wanted a dog of her own. We told her we would be happy for her to have a dog of her own if she would save up $200 towards the purchase price, and research the perfect breed for her.
She worked all Summer long, pet sitting and doing chores for neighbors. And she created lists of the things the perfect dog would have. The biggest thing was she wanted a dog that was potty trained (so an older puppy or young dog) and that would like being dressed up, didn’t require much exercise and wasn’t too big.
She came up with Cavalier King Charles – luckily one of our local vet techs, Julia, is a CKCS breeder and I know she is very health conscious and so I thought she would be a great resource. She put us in touch with her close friend Alisha from Lockestar Cavaliers and they told us about Arrow.
Miss Arrow came to live with us and immediately made herself at home. We are delighted to add CKCS to our kennel.
