Brinn’s beagle puppies are 2 weeks old

Our two little guys are thriving and getting quite bonny – Miss Brinn has taken her responsibilities as a mom very seriously and they eat often. We have to encourage her to come out as they are just fine, and have started to encourage them more and more to move around.

They are pretty stinkin cute don’t you think? It’s hard to believe by next week they will be starting on solids.

Boy 1 : Freddie

Boy 2 : Jason

Caspian the beagle puppy turns 4 weeks old.

Caspian is doing awesome – he is confident and loves to explore his environment. He gets to have supervised playtime with Ivy’s puppies who are left, and while they are twice his height and weight, he holds his own toddling around with them. Don’t tell him he is small – he believes he is mighty man.

I adore this little guy, and love watching his personality emerge. Here he is exploring some of our garden today

Daisy’s little beagle boy explores the garden

The PNW summer is warm and everything I love about living here. Mr Caspian is very confident on his feet and always wanting to be close to us, so I took him outside for a little walk in the garden. He LOVED it – he explored and walked around with such confidence – man oh man – I am a little enamored.

Brinn’s beagle puppies open their eyes

Brinn is a wonderful mom and loves her babies. Good dams are worth their weight in gold and I am so thankful she has lots of milk and is careful to take care of them.

The boys have started to open their eyes. I am sure they will start to move around a bit more in the coming days.

Daisy and Nick’s beagle boy is 3 weeks old

Little Caspian is growing well and is super confident. He is a typical only child who is snuggly and sassy and feels like the world is here for him

I might be a little smitten. 🙂 We took photos of him outside today – the weather is so lovely.

Brinn and Louie welcome two little beagle boys to the world

Brinn’s xray showed just 2 puppies and so we were on high alert watching her to see if there were any signs of labor. She was restless on Thursday and vomited a little but no progress. She was like that overnight, and then into Friday.

So, we decided to take her to the vet on friday at mid day, for a check in just to make sure we were safe. Dr Thoreson from Klahaya advised we did a c-section, and it was the right call. Brinn was a little dehydrated and her uterus wasn’t working as it should to push the puppies down the canal.

Instead we have 2 healthy boys and a healthy mama – this is what the goal is. We are home safe and sound with these precious little ones.

Introducing Daisy and Nick’s beagle pup officially

Daisy’s sweet little beagle baby is thriving – as a solo pup he gets all of the milk and today he is over a 1lb meaning he has put on almost 6 oz since Friday. <3 I am not complaining one little bit – and neither is he – LOL>

Here are his first official photos – his name was chosen by Daisy’s “girl” and he is called Caspian from the Narnia series.

Ivy and Beau’s beagle puppies are 5 weeks old

Sorry we missed a week of photos – it’s been a little busy around here – good busy, but busy none the less 🙂

Ivy has been a super mommy to her 7 babies and now that she is weaned, has gone home to her forever home with her dog mom Echo and her human family. We already miss her so much, but we know they missed her too.

The babies are doing great – the weather here in the PNW has been warm allowing for lots of outdoor playtime and exploration. They are getting more confident and we just love their little emerging personalities.

Enjoy their photos – taken outside. They didn’t really want to pose today – more wanted to head off on an adventure but I managed photos of them all.

Trillium will be available to a local Seattle area home, where they would be willing to keep him in tact for an extra year or so (till 4), and allow me to show him to his CH title. I offer a “thank you” discount for this arrangement/partnership. If you want to learn more about what that entails, or get references from a family who has done this, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Daisy and Nick welcome their sweet baby beagle boy

We were a little disappointed that Daisy’s X-ray showed just 1 puppy. We decided that instead of jumping straight to a C section, we would let her try and have it naturally and if there was signs of problems we would take her in for surgery.

She had a restless night on Thursday and Friday morning, despite eating a full breakfast, it looked like labor was in full force. I watched her on the camera so I wouldn’t disturb her, and around 9:15am she started to contract more deeply.

I sat with her and she would push a little and then sleep a little. Around 10:30, with no real progression happening I contacted my vet who said we should come in at 12:30 for a c section.

My husband joined me just in case something happened while we were driving. We sat in the car waiting for the clinic to be ready for us. Around 1pm, we were surprised by a head appearing and we were rushed into a clean clinic room where Daisy delivered her baby safe and sound. All 10.9oz of him. A healthy baby boy strong and bright.

We then took Daisy home, and she has settled in beautifully with her little one. She was a wonderful momma last time and it looks like we will be lucky enough again this time.

Cleo and Dutch’s pups explore outside

They are healthy and strong and this week we took them outside into our safe puppy area for a little time to explore. They were not quite sure at first but quickly realized that there were so many things to smells and see.

They are using the potty box about 50% of the time (honesty moment :P) and eating 3 meals a day. Mama Cleo loves her babies and now sees them as playmates rather than her babies and so she will get to back to her forever home where she is pampered and loved (and even has an instagram account @Cleo_thebeagle_ig)

Enjoy the photos of them from this week. There will not be any official photos for the next few weeks as they are going on a road trip on Wednesday to Spokane where they will live for a couple of weeks with co-breeder Malia so she can enjoy raising a litter for a little bit.

Boy 1: “Frog”

Boy 2: “Toad”

Boy 3: Shoulder collar with a notch taken out – “Bass”

Girl 1: White dots on her back “Duckie”

Girl 2: White Stripe on her butt – “Kitty”
