Arthur and Rosie’s pups are thriving and so today I took some photos with my actual camera (rather than my cell phone). They are now 2 days old and gaining weight wonderfully. Hope you enjoy the photos of these sweet little beagle babies. I still haven’t named them for the blog yet – coming soon (I promise)
We knew Rosie was close – she had been nesting all night and so that morning when she was uncomfortable and needing to “pee” constantly, we knew she had to be pretty close.
Around 12:30 she started big contractions and by 12:55pm she had baby #1 – a lovely 9.45oz girl.
Baby #2 came shortly after around 1:15 – a boy weighing in at 11oz.
Baby #3 was another boy – they just kept getting bigger (poor Rosie) – 11.10oz.
And true to form, at 2:20pm she had baby #4 – another girl who weighed in at 11.54oz.
We knew we were waiting on one more baby. It wasn’t long before Rosie was pushing again. This time, I knew it was a big baby – the head came but she couldn’t seem to get the body out. I yelled for my husband – he has long skinny fingers which help in situations like this. I held Rosie’s hips open and he gently guided/helped pull with every push – but after 15 mins of pushing when he was born, he was ghostly white – oxygen deprivation was not on our side. We tried every trick to revive him – rubbing, Dex, needle poke on his nose – to no avail. He had been in the canal too long and we lost him. He was 13.8oz – huge puppy – much too big for a little 13 inch beagle girl. We grieved the loss of him but also celebrated the healthy pups we got.
Mom and babies settled in to nursing right away – all are healthy and strong. We are so thankful.
With every litter I try and take some nicer photos with my camera so I can document how my lines grow and develop. I try to take weekly photos of them as they grow. These are their newborn photos.
I decided to go with a Fantastic Four theme – and go with four “F” names.
Boy 1: Felix
Boy 2: Finn
Boy 3: Fernando
Girl: Fleur

Harley Quinn (Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble In Gotham), owned by Lisa Young, Sarah Sweetman and Jenni Nieft was shown to her 4th major to finish her CH title in style – thank you to judge Mrs Christie Martinez for this honor. She gained almost all of her points with her dad Michael Young. Harley-Q makes beagles Spencer x Puddin’s 3rd CH get for 2022.
Harley Q 12 months
Daisy is Spencer x Puddin’s 4th CH get for 2022! Piloted by her good friend Sarah Smith-Falkner, Daisy (Kazuri N Van-Mar Oops A Daisy, Here Comes Trouble TKN) won WB/BOB for her final major. Thank you judge Mr. Randy E. Garren for finding Daisy today. It’s hard to find points in 13s so I am so happy we could do it. Thank you to the Chamberlain family for sharing her with me and allowing her to be shown.
Daisy 12 months
Sister Maddie (Kazuri N Van-Mar Trouble Takes The Cake), owned by Sarah Smith-Falkner, went WB/BOW in 15s, and so she is halfway to her CH title also. I am so proud of these pups. Bred by myself (Sarah Sweetman) & Chelsea Metteer.
Penny’s cavalier pups turn 7 weeks old and they are so sweet. They are really blossoming in their personalities. Lily wants to snuggle and have her belly rubbed. Wyatt wants to snuggle and loves to growl and play. Linus is def the most outgoing of the 3 and loves to explore.
I had to take some photos on my blue chair – they were very sleepy so they arent my favorites so i might try again in a week or two.

It has been an honor to raise them all and love on them while they have been in my care and I hope they make their new families as happy as they have made me.
Till then, enjoy their last pictures for now.

This weekend, in Tunica, MS, Nick (MBIS MBISS GCHG Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas CGC TKN) got his 8th BIS!!! I couldn’t be more proud.
We are so thankful to judge Mr James G Reynolds for the BOV win and to Hound specialist Mr Michael Canalizo for the Hound Group win and Best In Show win on Saturday.
It was so so hot, but Nick didn’t miss a beat in the ring. He is ever the showman even letting out an “AROOOOOO” in BIS to let everyone know he was there to compete.
Thank you to Mike for always presenting Nick so beautifully, and for Karen and great grand daughter Hailey for being such a great support system to him.
We are also so thankful to judge Mrs. Anne Katona for the BOV and Hound Group 1 win on Thursday.
We are also grateful to judge Ms. Debra Thornton for the BOV win and to Mr James G Reynolds for the Hound Group 2 on Friday.
We are thankful to judge Mr Michael Canalizo for finding Nick in BOV and to judge .Ms. Debra Thornton for giving him a Group 1 on Sunday.
June has been a wonderful month for our boy who keeps proving consistency is key. He finishes out the month, despite taking a weekend off, with 1 x BIS, 3 x Group 1s, 1 x Group 2s, 4 x Group 3s and 2 x Group 4s. <3
