They are bright and bold and doing so well – we love them so so much. This is probably the last time I will be able to take formal photos like this as they feel sitting still is much too boring and there is a whole world out there for them to find things.
Phoenix’s cavalier boys are growing up so fast now – they are eating 3 meals a day and still nursing as much as Phoenix will allow – we can tell she doesn’t really want to as much anymore so the weaning process is happening slowly but in a healthy way.
I took the boys outside for their photos – the blossoms falling are so pretty right now and everything is so green and vibrant. Spring in the PNW is so pretty
The cavalier king charles babies are thriving and we are starting to see some personalities emerge as they are starting to explore their baby pen. They are beginning to make little growls and trills – I love this stage.
Phoenix’s babies are just thriving. My daughter Brianna looked after them while I dashed to NZ to celebrate my Nana’s 90th birthday celebration. She did an amazing job. I am so thankful for her.
They have their eyes open now and are starting to get up on their feet.
This pairing is a Kazuri to Kazuri match – I don’t do those often as I try to match my girls with their best match, and that isn’t always what I own or bred. However, I was excited to take these two lines that I started and cross them together mixed with a loose line breeding of “Ripley” (GCH Brookhaven Believe it or not” being behind both of these dogs.
Phoenix went into labor on Saturday, and knowing she only had 3 on board, I didn’t want to take the risk getting one stuck (previous litter experience) and so we opted for a c-section. I am so thankful for vets who are available as needed.
I was expecting rubies and lo and behold we got 3 Blenheim boys. Who would have thought??? Not me.
I am so excited to watch these little fellas grow. Our sweet little Easter babies.
Biggest boy 7.1oz
Red boy 6.8oz
Tiny boy
Mom and babies are doing fantastic and already nursing like champions
The puppies are tiny dogs now and love nothing more than when they can play in the big yard with the big dogs. Right now the weather in the PNW is unpredictable and so we make the most of going outside every moment we can.
The cavaliers are growing confidence as the beagle puppies show them the ropes. Our golden is a perfect playmate as she is gentle and shows them big dogs are nothing to be afraid of. Even dogs that are visiting like Darwin the beagle, enjoy moments of play – even if they try to nurse from him.
I am enjoying every moment with these precious little ones. I have just under 2 weeks before the first of the beagles starts to fly the coup. Sigh.
I am so so happy to say that this time, Nellie’s babies are thriving. We have had no sign of diarrhea and they are steadily gaining weight. Nellie keeps them spotlessly clean and I am so happy to have such a cruisy cavalier litter. Fingers crossed it continues
We decided to base the litter theme on the little guy with the “pants” on his legs – they remind me of Mickey Mouse’s pants with the little buttons. So, without further ado, here are the babies
Just like Phoenix and Sylvie’s pups, I took photos of Charlotte’s boys in the afternoon. I love these little spitfires so much – they are strong and healthy and friendly and sweet.
Sylvie’s pups are thriving under her loving care. She is a calm and careful mom and the babies are growing well. Their eyes just opened so I am sure we will see them start to move around a little more this week.
Charlotte’s pups are tubby little lumps – they are eating 3 meals a day from a bowl and using their potty box well. Mama has almost completely weaned them and they are so healthy.
Just like Phoenix’s pups, we took them outdoors for the first time since the weather allowed it. They were a little stunned at first which meant I could take their photos 🙂 But they quickly ran off to explore.
These boys are all spoken for. Enjoy their photos from this week
