My daughter Bri has a special bond with our dogs. When she wants to work with them (she is 13 after all) ๐ , they hang on every command she gives them.
She and Phoenix, our little Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, worked on Phoenix’s Novice Trick title and easily got it. Now I think she should go for her Intermediate Title – don’t you?
Sometimes we place older show dogs with families. We did that with River and through a series of events, found it wasn’t a good match for either him nor the family.
Please know that I do not begrudge the family – my job is to make a lifelong connection between a dog and their family and if that is not happening, then I am a breeder that will take their dog back.
So, I did. River came back and spent 2.5 months with me. In that time, I cherished my time with him. As a breeder, we don’t often get to have time with our adult dogs – to see how they turned out.
He was the “pick” of the litter, and had spent his show career with Mike and Karen in California, so apart from a couple of shows, I had not seen him much. Spending time with him made me appreciate all the things I had liked as a puppy, and know what a quality dog he was – not just physically, but mentally as well.
In one afternoon, we worked on his novice trick title. He got it ๐ So, he is now CH Kazuri’s River of Dreams TKN. He is so food motivated, that he will do just about anything for a treat ๐ It’s a bonus for sure.
I took some photos of him while he is here also. While he is neutered, I have 4 straws of semen for him, so I hope to one day bring him back into my bloodline again.
He has a new family looking at him now – and I hope that he has found his forever place to land. He, just like every dog, deserves a home where they are loved and cherished for who they are. <3
The cavalier puppies are 8 weeks today. I took them to the studio for some more official pictures since they don’t seem to want to sit still very long in the garden – not that I blame them – it’s very interesting exploring out there in the world ๐
Today they visited the cardiologist Dr Woodfield and got the “all clear” on their hearts. I hope to also be able to get their eyes checked before they go home, but their hearts were the most important thing to me. I am so thrilled the results were as I hoped.
This month marks my final few weeks with these sweet babies. I really have to narrow down my final choices and decide who is staying so families can begin to plan for their precious little one to arrive. I am so thankful for their patience.
The puppies are spending more time outdoors on the deck now. They love having time with the pack and playing with all the big dogs. They also got new fast release collars so they can get used to the feeling of something around their necks. They really are growing up.

Thank you for your interest in my puppies and breeding program. At this stage all of these puppies will be sold from my current wait list. I have just started assessing them to see who will stay in my breeding program. I thank you for your patience and understanding as I wait to make my final offers out to families. I do understand how hard it is to wait.
If you want to be considered for a future Kazuri puppy, please look on my โpuppy pageโ for all the information you need about my breeding plans, FAQs, and a questionnaire to fill out. Thanks, Sarah
My sweet cavalier puppies are 7 weeks today. They are fun loving little explorers. On the sunny days we take them out into the garden to explore and play. The problem is, they don’t want to sit still anymore for close ups. So, you will just have to enjoy pictures of them enjoying the sun and exploring the garden with the big dogs and playing with mama Kiss (aka Paris).

This is the first time attempting stacks with Emmy and Ben’s pups. Stacking is how we start to look their their structure – the angle of their shoulders, the length of their upper arm, the angle of their rear, their topline. The stack doesn’t tell us everything as some pups get nervous up here, but it’s a nice place to start.
I am SO pleased at how these pups have turned out. Using semen that was 22 years old was a gamble, and to get such beautiful pups to choose from, feels like a gift. <3

The puppies are enjoying small times outside more and more. We don’t take them outside very much – not only because it’s still a bit cold, but also because it’s not super safe for them as we live on a lake with eagles – so we stand out there and supervise their playtime very closely.
Phoenix loves playtime with the babies so much – as you can see below, the feeling is mutual. She has just turned one, but she is very gentle with them. She has her mom Arrow’s beautiful temperament.
I did their individual pictures outdoors again this week. Enjoy <3

Time is flying by so fast – I cant believe I am half way to some of these guys going home. Oh my gosh – I cant even think about it.
They are all super eaters now. When the bowls go down, they chow down. They were introduced to the big pack this week and Phoenix (my 1 year old ruby cavalier) was especially excited. If you want to see a video of her playing with one, i put it on Instagram @kazuri_beaglesandcavaliers She sits by their pen and tries t play through the bars and begs me to lets them out several times a day.
The pups are getting so good at walking around and playing that we decided to take them for their first outing outside into the yard. They were a little shy at first (as you will see in the pictures), but once they had figured out that they were safe, they started exploring a little and chewing on leaves and such. It is still a little cold out, and so we didn’t stay for long. We will take them out for small times again each day. ๐
Here are the latest pictures of the babies – they are getting bigger. <3

I will be forever thankful to Heidi Mohn from Covington cavaliers for allowing me to use her beautiful boy Denny ( CKCSC-USA CH & AKC CH Covington Designed By Time) for this litter.

After a couple of the babies had a slow start with food (ah hem – i literally had to spoon feed them in order for them to eat), now all the pups are eating with great vigor.
I also wanted to share this adorable photo of Miss Peggy who fits perfectly in my hands. For now anyway.
We are so sad to announce that Allie was pregnant, but yesterday we did an x-ray and found that she has lost the litter ๐
To say that this is gut wrenching is an understatement. This is part of breeding for sure, but it doesn’t make it stink any less.
So, now we try and look to the future and what we will do next. Allie is fine. Going through the motions of a false pregnancy and was checked out thoroughly by out vet yesterday and was found to be healthy. So that is something to be grateful for.
Emmy’s pups are now 6 weeks old – I cant believe it. They are enjoying the outdoors more and more now. Karen sent me these pictures so I just had to share them <3
** Just a reminder that these puppies are being raised with my co-breeders Mike and Karen in Sacramento California, so you cant visit them in Seattle unfortunately. I will be bringing them up at some point in April.
