Dream weekend at the Inland Empire Kennel Club in CDA

There are some weekends where things seem to just fall into place and this last weekend in CDA was one of them. I only took Nick to show and it was nice to be able to just relax and enjoy my time with him. Nick didn’t disappoint at all.

On Friday he won BOV under judge Dr. Steven L. Keating. He went on to a regular Group 1 under judge Ms. JoAnne M Buehler and a Owner Handler Group 2 under Justin Dannenbring

On Saturday he won BOV under judge Ms. JoAnne M Buehler. He went on to a regular Group 1 under judge Mr Allen Odem and a Owner Handler Group 1 under Mr. Michael L Savage, going on to Owner Handled Best In Show under judge Ms. JoAnne M Buehler

On Sunday he won BOV under judge  Mr. Allen L Odom. He went on to a regular Group 2 under judge Dr Steven L Keating and a Owner Handler Group 1 under Mr. Allen L Odom

Nova and Murphy’s beagle puppies are 8 weeks old

Nova’s babies are 8 weeks and will start to head to their new homes next week. I can’t even believe how fast this time has gone and how much I love these precious little gifts. Thank you again to Nova’s dad Ken for partnering with me to allow me to show Nova, health test her and have a litter.

I am just making my final decisions on who stays here at Kazuri and who goes to their new home in the up coming days. Who are your favorites?

Enjoy the final pictures of the babies all together as they play in our yard as they were not interested in individual photos at all this week 🙂 I can’t blame them – the world is a wonderfully interesting place and it’s their job to discover it all.

Tori and Charlie’s cavalier puppies are 4 weeks old

Tori is doing a wonderful job with her babies and they are growing steadily. She must have golden milk as the babies are not super interested in mushy food – unless its from the bowl that mama is eating from. Silly babies.

They are walking around, growling and starting to clumsily play with one another. it’s very cute.

Enjoy the photos I took of them outside today – they werent quite sure what to make of it

I know they will just gain confidence more and more in the coming weeks

Enjoy my little Cinco de Mayo gifts <3

Girl 1 – Salsa

Girl 2 – Churro

Girl 3 – Pico

Boy 1 – Nacho

Boy 2 – Tamale

Boy 3 – Taco

Paige and Murphy welcome their babies to the world

After Paige’s missed pregnancy in 2025, we decided to try again. We changed the stud this time just in case it was a mismatch and went with our homebred boy Murphy. It would be a first litter for both of them, and a loose line breeding on a wonderful dog of old called CH Gayhalo The Gambler (Kenny)

Paige had a stricture we discovered during breeding (to read more about it, look here DOG BREEDING PROBLEMS: CANINE CYSTITIS, STRICTURE, HYMENS | TheDogPlace).

This being the case, we decided the best and safest option would be to give her an elective C section as a stuck puppy could be dangerous and I don’t want to put a dog through that.

We watched for signs of labor. On June 2nd, she showed signs of early labor and so we took her in for an assessment. We were right and they started the surgery. Paige did very well and a healthy boy and 2 girls were born.

Paige is a little confused about her babies, but trying to nurse them. She has some inverted nipples which make it hard to attach so we are keeping a close eye on them.

Stay tuned for formal introductions soon.
