Bpup was offered on Friday and Saturday of the Timberland Dog show in Chehalis this weekend.
Much to my absolute delight, Olivia won the hound group and a huge Best Puppy In Show with many puppies competing! WOW!
As a breeder and owner, it is such an honor for her to be recognized by so many judges and in such lovely puppy competition. Thank you to judges Mr Michael Savage and Mr Bill Fletcher for choosing Olivia as your “Best puppy”
Callie’s babies are growing like little weeds. They are eating 3 meals a day, and loving their food. They growl and have started to do little barks. I love that they come rushing over whenever I come into the room.
We are de-sensitizing them by playing movies for them like “transformers” and “king kong”. So far they are unphased by the weird and sudden sounds.
Enjoy their photos from this afternoon – they are starting to enjoy small periods of time outside.
Olivia (Kazuri’s Summer Lovin’) has just turned 4 months – some AKC shows offer the opportunity to 4-6 month old puppies to compete in a relaxed environment with AKC judges. It’s a great way for them to experience the show environment.
Olivia is out of our homebred dogs Ivy (CH Kazuri’s Tangled Up In Trouble) X Beau (CH Kazuri’s All I Need Is Love and Cake)
Olivia was a little nervous at first but quickly discovered the joy of meeting judges and getting chicken nibbles.
Much to my surprise and delight, she won the Hound group and “Best puppy in show” her first day in the ring under judge Mrs Rhonda  Silveira.
The next day she won the Hound Group under judge Ms Sylvie McGee..
The next day she won Hound Group and her 2nd “Best Puppy in show” under judge Ms Michelle Schultz.
and on the final day, she won Hound Group under judge Mr Bryan Martin.
Time marches on and the babies are here for it all. They are starting to walk around much more and get strength in their legs. They started on puppy mush a few days ago and LOVE eating (no surprise there – haha). They love sleeping on their “big soft” bed and it’s time to start potty box training now that they dont want to potty where they sleep (understandable).
I love these little babies so much – what a joy to see parts and pieces of Callie and Nick in them already.
I met up with Malia and Kayla in Chehalis. We took Nick (MBIS MBISS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas CGCU ATT TKN BCAT), Savannah (GCHB Kazuri’s Gonna Be Peachy) and Potato (Kazuri N JoyfulNoise Sunshine On A Cloudy Day)
On Friday, Nick won a Hound Group 4 under Mrs Polly (Mrs Robert) D Smith. Potato won BOV in 13s and went on to a OH Hound Group 2 with Nick beside her with an OH Hound group 3 under judge Mr David Denis.
On Saturday, Nick won BOV but didn’t compete in group as I was flying a puppy to his new home in California. Potato won 13 BOV for a major and went on to a regular Hound Group 4 under judge Mrs Terry L Berrios and OH Hound Group 2 under judge Ms Laura Reeves!
On Sunday, Nick won regular Group 1 under judge Mr David Denis and Savannah and Malia won a regular Group 4 beside us. Nick then won OH Hound Group under Mrs Polly (Mrs Robert) D Smith and OH Reserve Best In Show under judge Mr Gary Stiles.
Nashville (Kazuri N JoyfulNoise Appearing At the Opry) bred by Sarah Sweetman & Dolly Stearns, aged 6 months and a few days, went to the National Beagle Club and competed in the 6-9 month old puppy class for sweeps and the real National. He didn’t end up staying for Beaglefest as he went home with Lisa Young (Denver’s breeder/owner).
It was his first time ever in the ring, and he look it all in stride taking 1st place in his class for both Sweeps, under breeder judge Madeleine Back, and also at NBC under breeder judge Mrs Barbara Scherer, with some lovely comments by both judges.
Thank you to Karen for presenting our litle wild child so well.
Nashville is the son of “Denver” (GCHB Youngsong Sunshine On My Shoulders At Outwest) and “Violet” (CH Kazuri’s Keeping Up Appearances). He is owned by Sarah Sweetman, Lisa Young, Mike and Karen Kurtzner.
And thank you to Jennifer Bell for the ringside photo of Nashville and Karen
We have peepers – it’s always so fun when their eyes open and we know they can start to hear things also.
The noise socialization has begun with playing movies like “Transformer” and “Saving Private Ryan” and “King Kong” for the loud and interesting sounds that play for them.
I love these little puppies. I am so excited to watch them grow up – they have big shoes to fill <3
We went to Redmond Oregon this weekend to play at the shows there.
Nick (MBIS MBISS GCHP Kazuri’s All I Want For Christmas CGCU ATT TKN BCAT) won the OH Hound Group on Friday under judge Mr Allen Odem.
On Saturday, Nick won OH Hound Group 2 under judge Mary Albee, and Regular Group 1 under Mr Raymond Filburn and we went on to Reserve Best In Show under judge Mr Joe C Walton!!!!! Talk about an incredible win!!
On Sunday, Nick won OH Hound Group under judge Mr Raymond V Filburn, and OH Best In Show under judge Mr Joe C Walton. We won Regular Group 1 under Mr Allen Odem and I was delighted that Murphy (who I also bred and own) went Hound Group 2 beside us.
What an incredible weekend – one to remember for always.
Callie is a wonderful momma – they always say good moms are worth their weight in gold and it is so true. Her puppies are gaining weight well and always satisfied. If I pick them up, they are yawning and content. We are doing ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) morning and night.
Beagle puppies are so cute and of course I hope you enjoy their photos from this morning
